Our story
Learned in a recession, built on our own money.
Jac left school in 2008, straight into a collapsing construction market. There was no graduate scheme and no soft landing — just passive fire protection, contracting and labour supply, and a lot of time on other people's sites watching how jobs are won, run and lost.
Construction and civils run in the family, so the ground was familiar territory. What changed things was buying and building our own developments: funding a site, carrying the risk, making every decision and then selling the result to somebody who was going to live in it.
That is why we understand clients better than most contractors do. We have been the one waiting for a call back. We know what a slipped date does to a family who have already given notice on a rental, and we know the difference between a cheap price and a good one.

Director-led
Jac leads every client relationship. You are not passed to an account manager once the contract is signed.
Site management
Separate managers for groundworks and internals, so both halves of a build get proper attention.
In-house groundworks
Our own operators and plant, from small excavators for tight gardens up to 8-tonne machines and dumpers.
Trusted network
Architects, engineers, consultants and subcontractors we have worked with for years — not whoever is cheapest that month.

Checked, accredited and insured.

Jac Jones Construction Ltd holds £10m public liability cover (£5m primary with Aviva plus a £5m excess layer) and £5m employers' liability cover with Aviva. Certificates available on request.
Where we work
South Wales first, further afield when it is right.
Most of our work sits within an hour of Blackwood. We will travel for the right project, but we would rather be close enough to be on site the same morning.
