- Can you undertake the groundworks as well as the house build?
- Groundworks are delivered in-house on our own plant — excavation, foundations, reinforced concrete, retaining structures, drainage and external works. On constrained or sloping sites around Chepstow this is often the difference between a smooth build and an expensive one.
- What information do you need to price a bespoke new build?
- Ideally a drawing package, but a plot and a clear idea are enough to start a sensible conversation. We will tell you honestly what stage the project is really at, what it is likely to involve and what we would need to give you a properly itemised price.
- Do you undertake SAB and drainage works as part of a new build?
- Yes. Surface-water drainage for new builds in Wales requires SAB approval, and SuDS features are designed into our schemes from the start. Our groundworks division builds the drainage and attenuation infrastructure as part of the normal package.
- Which surrounding areas do you cover?
- Alongside Chepstow, we regularly work across Caldicot, Magor, Raglan and Monmouth and the wider South Wales region. Exceptional projects further afield — including Bristol and West Wales — are considered on their merits.
- How early should I contact you before I want construction to begin?
- Earlier than most people think. A conversation at plot-or-idea stage lets us flag ground, access, drainage and budget realities while they are still cheap to solve — but we are equally happy to be brought in with completed drawings ready to price.
